Darren & Sharon Gauthier

Darren and Sharon Gauthier have served in the full-time ministry since 1991; first in Champaign, Illinois, then Cincinnati, Ohio. For the past 27 years, they have been on the ministry staff of the Chicago Church of Christ, where Darren is an elder and evangelist, and Sharon is a women’s ministry leader. Darren is one of the founding members of the ICOC

Diversity Team which began in 2012. He and Sharon are also on the ICOC Elders Service Committee.

The Gauthiers both grew up in Louisiana in the 1960s and 70s and have a perspective of racial relations that spans geographic regions and time periods. They have done workshops and presentations on the topics of race and culture in several congregations throughout the U.S. and consult with many others. As part of their current shepherding responsibilities, they oversee the racial and cultural understanding initiative in the Chicago Church.
