James Campbell

James Campbell currently serves as Senior Evangelist for the Miami Church. James has been married 35 years to Kim and together they have three children. James is a graduate of Southern University with a degree in Computer Science and graduate studies from University of Texas at Dallas. James transitioned into full time ministry while living in Chicago, IL. and has also served churches in Indianapolis, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.

A product of Liberty City, an inner city community in Miami, FL, James grew up facing the challenges many of our young African American youth face today. Fatherlessness, substandard housing, limited education opportunities and other cultural challenges. 

Before the SCUAD, there was a small task force of African American Evangelists in the US petitioning the ICOC Kingdom leaders for greater diversity and inclusion for leadership at the Evangelist, Elder and Campus Leadership roles within urban US churches. Having the opportunity to serve on the ground floor of this effort has had many challenges and victories along with misunderstanding of our initiatives. Nevertheless, by faith, God will enable us to build healthier churches to reach as many as possible as we see this effort embraced.
